Niraj Bagia

Niraj has been a committee member since 2016 and has taken on the role of assistant social secretary.

Niraj is a Dispensing Optician who has recently taken a new role as a Business Development Manager for an Optical Lens manufacturer, moving from selling luxury eyewear to B2B sales looking after central London’s independent opticians.

Niraj is a very sociable, outgoing person; always surrounded by friends and family when not at work and always up for dinner and drinks. As many of you already know he enjoys dancing (especially during Navratri!). Most recently he completed a road trip in South Africa from Johannesburg to Cape Town to the famous garden route and back to Johannesburg.

At university, Niraj was president of his Hindu society where he managed to build a wealth of experience in organising social events such as their sell out annual garba event with over 900 students ranging from from three different London universities.

Niraj is looking forward to another big term with the YLS and organising many successful social events over the next two years to help further bring the community together!
